The "Legends Club" was created in 2015 to recognize outstanding American Legion baseball careers of players who have played for Parkers Prairie Post 219. These players must be ten years removed from their playing days and have their career marks still amongst the best.

Kyle Bettin & Jamie Thoennes become Inaugural Legends

​

Our 2015 inaugural inductees were 2002 MN Lakes Conference Champions, 2001 and 2002 District 9 Champions and 2001 State Champions.

​

Jamie had a two year career batting .365, slugged .601, and on base average of .477. He pounded out 62 hits with 12 doubles, 1 triple, and 8 homeruns. He walked 32 times while scoring 39 runs and knocking in 51 RBI's.

​

Jamie pitch in 19 games with 4 complete games compiling a 12-5 record with 1 save. He recorded 81 innings pitched while striking out 40 with an ERA of 2.68. 

​

Jamie was a 2001 and 2002 MN Lakes All-Conference player and helped his team to a 47-19 record including being the winning pitcher in the 2001 State Championship.

​

Kyle played for three years and hit .269, with a slugging % of .327 and on base of .309. He recorded 14 hits with 1 that cleared the fence scoring 6 runs, with 3 walks and 7 RBI's. 

​

Kyle took the ball the distance in 19 games of his 29 games pitched on the mound. He tallied a 20-6 record in 153 and 2/3 innings pitched. He threw 2 shutouts and struck out 102 batters with an ERA of 3.14.

​

Kyle was a 2003 MN Lakes All-Conference player and led his team to a 61-26 record including a 2001 state semifinal outing where he threw around 200 pitches to knock off top-ranked Ely.

Eric Koep & Scott Duberowski become Legends second class.

​

Our 2016 inductees were 2002 MN Lakes Conference Champions, 2001 and 2002 District 9 Champions and 2001 State Champions.

​

Scott had a three year career batting .365, slugged .414, and on base average of .447. He accumulated 66 hits with 7 doubles, and 1 triple. He scored 71 runs with 27 RBI’s and 27 walks.

​

Scott pitch in 18 games going the distance in half of them with a 10-3 record. He recorded 90 innings pitched while striking out 23 with an ERA of 3.58. 

​

Scott was a 2001 and 2002 MN Lakes All-Conference player and helped his team to a 61-26 record.

​

Eric played four seasons and hit .389, with a slugging % of .719 and on base of .496. He recorded 72 hits with 16 doubles and 15 round trippers. He walked 39 times, scored 53 runs, and had 57 RBI's.

​

Eric pitched in 12 games with a 6-3 record for 50 and 1/3 innings pitched. He threw 2 complete games and struck out 27 batters with an ERA of 3.76.

​

Eric was a 2003 and 2004 MN Lakes All-Conference player along with being the 2002 Conference MVP. He led his team to a 74-32 record and was chosen as the 2001 State Tournament Most Valuable Player.

Josh Rud & Mike Lorine become Legends third class.

​

Our 2017 inductees were 2002 MN Lakes Conference Champions, 2001 and 2002 District 9 Champions and 2001 State Champions.

​

Josh had a two year playing career with a career batting average of .355, slugging % of .504, and on base average of .442. He had 50 hits with 11 doubles, 2 triples, and 2 homeruns. Josh took 22 bases on balls and scored 43 runs while driving in 38 RBI's.

​

Josh was a MN Lakes All-Conference player in both 2001 and 2002 while helping his team to a 47-19 record.

​

Mike played for four years with a career batting average of .462, a slugging % of .686, and on base average of .524. He achieved 78 hits with 17 doubles, and 7 homeruns. He scored 43 runs with 45 RBI’s while walking 22 times.

​

Mike was 5-4 on the mound in 10 games, going the distance in four, pitching 53 innings and striking out 22 with an ERA of 5.42.

​

Mike was a MN Lakes All-Conference player in 2003 and 2004 while helping his squad to a 74-32 record and adding a 2004 MN Lakes Conference Championship to his resume.

Eli Gesell becomes 7th Legend

​

Our 2018 inductee played for three years and had a career batting average of .323, a

slugging % of .436, and on base average of .397. He accumulated 63 hits with 6 doubles, 2 triples, and 4 homeruns. He walked 24 times, and scored 47 runs with 37 RBI’s in his career.

​

Eli was a MN Lakes All-Conference player in 2003, and a member of the 2002 MN Lakes Conference Champions, 2001 and 2002 District 9 Championships along as the 2001 State Championship. His teams compiled a record of 61-26 in his playing days.

​

His son Cole caught his ceremonial first pitch during his induction as Cole is now the first second generation Post 219 player.

Jason Arvidson becomes 8th Legend

​

Our 2019 inductee played for four years and had a career batting average of .351, a

slugging % of .416, and on base average of .455. He accumulated 65 hits with 10 doubles, and 1 triple. Jason walked 41 times, stole 34 bases, and scored 44 runs with 27 RBI’s in 75 career games.

​

Jason pitched 27 and 2/3 innings in 10 games with 1 complete game and 1 save striking out 16 with an ERA of 4.55.

​

Jason was a MN Lakes All-Conference player in 2008 and 2009.

Ryan Silbernick becomes 9th Legend

​

Our 2021 inductee played from 2008-2010 and had a career batting average of .292 and slugged .329 with an on base average of .418. He achieved 47 hits with 6 doubles and stole 35 bases. He walked 39 times and scored 46 runs with 6 sacrifices and 32 RBI's.

​

On the bump, Ryan pitched in 14 games with a 3-5 record. He had 5 complete games tallying 50 and 1/3 innings pitched with an ERA of 7.65.

​

Ryan was a MN Lakes All-Conference player in 2009 and Honorable Mention in 2008 and 2010.

Trey Thompson becomes 10th Legend

​

Our 2022 inductee played for five seasons and had a career batting average of .358, a

slugging % of .551, and on base average of .423. He achieved 113 hits with 25 doubles, 3 triples, and 10 homeruns. Trey swiped 27 bags and drew 45 walks/beans accumulating to 75 runs with 13 sacrifices while driving in 92 RBI's in 113 career games.

​

Trey pitched in 31 games recording 149 and a third innings pitched for a 12-11 record.  He pitched 14 complete games and struck out 140 batters for and ERA of 3.80.

​

Trey was a MN Lakes Conference Honorable Mention in 2009 and an All-Conference Player in 2010, 2011, and 2012.

Ryan Peppersack becomes 11th Legend

​

Our 2023 inductee had an outstanding career spanning from 2008 to 2011.

 

Ryan had 45 hits with 4 doubles, 1 triple, and 1 bomb. He walked 52 times and stole 19 bases while scoring 49 runs and driving in 20 RBI's with 7 sacrifices in 87 games.

 

Ryan still ranks first in games pitched (36), innings pitched (171), and is 5th on the all-time strikeout (136) career lists.

 

Ryan was a MN Lakes All-Conference player in 2010 and Honorable Mention in 2011.

Logan Riedel becomes 12th Legend

​

Our first inductee of 2024 played for three years and had a career batting average of .404, a

slugging % of .596, and on base average of .463. He accumulated 105 hits with 25 doubles, 8 triples, and 3 homeruns, one of which knocked out the top seed in the 2013 Sub-District 9 tournament that the Pride went on to win. He stole 61 bases and scored 81 runs with 43 RBI’s in 79 career games.

​

On the mound, Logan pitched 137 innings posting a 19-3 record with 16 complete games and 3 shutouts while striking out 164 batters with a 2.04 ERA.

 

Logan was a MN Lakes Conference Honorable mention in 2012 and All-Conference player in 2013 and 2014.

 

The teams he played on had a 57-27-1 record in that three year span as he

helped lead the program back to the District tournament for the first time in a decade all three years, including a 4th place finish in his Super Senior campaign.

Hunter Arnold becomes 13th Legend

​

Our second inductee of 2024 played for six years and had a career batting average of .358, a slugging % of .528, and on base average of .446. He accumulated 129 hits with 35 doubles, 4 triples, and 6 homeruns. He stole 55 bases and scored 106 runs with 85 RBI’s in 127 career games.

 

On the mound, Hunter pitched 137 and 2/3 innings posting a 9-11 record with 11 complete games and 3 shutouts while striking out 186 batters with a 2.95 ERA.

​

Hunter was a MN Lakes Conference All-Conference player in 2011, 2012, 2013 and was named the Conference MVP in 2014.

 

The teams he played on had a 79-53-1 record in that six-year span as he helped lead the program back to the District tournament for the first time in a decade in his final three years, including a 4th place finish in his Super Senior campaign.

Tyler Walsh becomes 14th Legend

 

Our 2025 inductee played for five years and had a career batting average of .325, a slugging % of .452, and on base average of .393. He was the first player to break the 100-hit club for the program finishing at 102 hits, with 25 doubles, and 5 homeruns. He stole 9 bases and scored 46 runs with 76 RBI's in 106 career games.

​

Tyler was an anchor at first base for four years and occasionally chewed up an inning on the mound when needed.

​

Tyler was a MN Lakes All-Conference Honorable Mention in 2010 and 2011 as he was a part of the teams that were laying the foundation for where the program is today.

​
